	For those stuck with the Diamond cards, you can always contact
	Diamond and sign a non-disclosure agreement to learn how to
	program their clock. Once the procedure is debugged you may,
	with permission from Diamond, release a binary with your solution.

permanent solution:

If the  dosemu project ever gets off the
ground, we will be able to initialize the vga cards via a 
BIOS call  and such a procedure will not mean that you will
not able to adjust your monitor timing parameters.
