Perhaps this info will help.

I tried to reproduce the incorrect date and the rz problem on my laptop
using MTEZ, as well as Crosstalk.

Original files on MV host.
-rw-r----- 1 kaikow kaikow 101 Oct 30 20:58 mbox.out
-rw-r----- 1 kaikow kaikow 126 Oct 30 13:19 stty.dat
-rw-r----- 1 kaikow kaikow 100 Oct 30 14:28 sttyd.dat

As received by MTEZ on laptop
STTYD DAT 104 10-30-93 6:28p
STTY DAT 132 10-30-93 5:19p
MBOX OUT 107 10-31-93 12:58a

As received by Crosstalk on laptop
STTYD DAT 100 10-31-93 6:28p
STTY DAT 126 10-31-93 5:19p
MBOX OUT 101 11-00-93 12:58a

I following is as received on MV from my desktop using Crosstalk
-rw-r----- 1 kaikow kaikow 302 Oct 29 17:16 contura.dat

The date and time of contura.dat on my desktop is actually 30 Oct 21:16.

I found MTEZ cumbersome to use with ZMODEM on my laptop, so I don't know
if the test of the rz problem was actually replicated. In any case, it
did not occur using MTEZ on the laptop, while it did occur using
Crosstalk on the laptop.
