Summary: Incorrect date downloaded by SZ to a PC
Lines: 56

There is a problem using SZ in downloading a file to a PC.

I encountered this on 28 October. Here's one example.

Here is the file on mv.mv.com

-rw------- 1 kaikow kaikow 2030 Oct 28 20:46 mbox

Here is what sz -ap mbox caused to be written on my PC.

MBOX 2030 10-30-93 12:46a

Both my PC and mv.mv.com agreed that it was 28 October.

Earlier, I downloaded a file that had a date of 29 October, so the difference
is not constant.

Does anybody know of a reliable x/y/zmodem program that runs under 386BSD?

Yes, use DSZ for your ZMODEM file transfers. It understands the
difference between UTC time used for Unix and ZMODEM and DOS
time (z numeric parameter).
