I have just finished installing netBSD 0.9 on my zeos 486-DX2, and am
trying to configure my fax modem for use with tip and cu. I go through
the gyrations in teh FAQ posting, entering

com0:dv=/dev/com0:br#9600:at=hayes:

in my /etc/remote file, but when I try a "tip com0" I get a connected,
but then I can't get any thing else to usefully happen, a ~.
gets a [EOT] reply, but then my computer is hung, a control-alt-del
won't even unfreeze it, and I need to cycle power to fix the problem.

Does anyone have any hints as to what I need to do to get my modem
functioning properly?
