hi,

soft/hardware: noname486/33isa&16M&adaptec1542b&ast-comp.4port&supra_fax_v32bis&
freebsd_epsilon&flexfax&...

ok, here the problem/question:

I'm running the above hard/software (the best combination you can get for
less then $2000 ;-) and was wondering whether someone might have a similar
problem/inconveniency: I'm used to use my modemport as dialin/out port
(uucp, tip), using the bidirectional sio driver (comcontrol /dev/whatever bidir
(btw. great improvment compared to /dev/comXX )), but while running faxd it
seems to be impossible to run the serial port in the 'bidirectional mode' ?
so:
is there a way (to abuse the serial port three times ;) ?
or do I have to 'faxquit' & 'comcontrol /dev/whatever -bidir'
in order to dialout ?

but however: thanx to Sam Leffler (for flexfax) and the rest of the bsd-folks !

so long,
          frank
