Hi,

FreeBSD/XFree86 users:

I ported the most recent version of the fames netrek BerksRick Moo
client last week. This RSA client is avaliable on ftp.cd.chalmers.se
(right now in the pub/incoming tree, soon /pub/netrek/brm-bin). This
is the official distribution site for the BRM. This client is
BRM3.00pl2. The RSA key should be installed on all RSA clients by
midnignt tonight.

I will continue to provide updated ports of this code. I am currently
running FreeBSD-1.0-EPSILON/XFree86-1.3u1, so this is what the port is
for.

The file is called BRM.3.00pl2.FreeBSD.gz. Get it, gunzip it, and
chmod +x it and you are set to go. The '-u' switch will tell you
how to use the client. '-m' will connect you to the metaserver and
let you start playing at once. There is documentation for BRM on
ftp.cd.chalmers.se as well as examples of .xtrekrc files that can be used
to customize your session.

Please note that this client -does- support short packets, so if you
play through ppp like I do, you will be thrilled with the speed increase
(as much as 70% in some cases!) At 14.4K you can even get phaser lock
almost all the time!

Have fun and lemme know if you have any problems.
