Hello BDS users;

I work for Temple University as a senior computer consultant. Most of
my job entails user support on an IBM 3084Q which runs VM/CMS and lots
of applications.

We recently acquired a fairly large multiple user Unix box. I know
little about Unix, but my job will eventually involve supporting it and
its applications. Our unix box is a MIPS machine, sold by CDC, which
runs something called EP/IX which hosts both BSD and System V variants
of Unix. The BSD flavor seems to be favored here.

Due to my large workload plus the fact that I am a graduate student
after work, I don't have time to learn Unix on my own. I also find Unix
difficult to learn compared to some other operating systems that I know.
Perhaps that's because Unix has a lot more flexibility than most other
operating systems.

My employer is willing to pay for me to be trained in Unix. My boss has
recommended some Unix courses, but they both conflict with my schedule.
I looking for a company that offers Unix training with somewhere around
the Philadelphia area. Washington or New York city would be nice too
(ahem). I need a course that meets during semester breaks and that
covers typical Unix at beginners than more advanced levels. I am not
interested in Unix from a system manager's point of view though. Any
suggestions on companies which offer such training will be appreciated.
