Dear People:
Does anyone know when the sysconf and pathconf functions where added
to various versions of unix? I have a os that is based on version 7
of unix and does not have those. Am I correct in my observation that
many posix features are new, and many versions of unix are scrambling
to have them? It seems that posix agreed on a standard that the
diverging operating systems provide compatibity with, but not always.
Is posix still a vaporware kind of thing? Does 386bsd try to move
towards this posix stuff?
Puzzled in peoria. (well, California)
