Being the poster of the original message about the mouse problem with
XFree on NetBSD 0.9,

.I got my 3-button mouse working. I declared it as a Microsoft mouse
in the Xconfig.
I discovered that  ANY  mouse (logitech or otherwise) that is declared
as a Logitech in Xconfig does not work properly. (Well, for `any', read
`any of the mice i have' )
 I leave it to the gurus out there to make sense of this..
