Summary: Why does the address of the WD card i ahve change back after netbsd hangs ?
Keywords: netbsd,ethernet,bug

I've no idea if this is part of the same problem with the 'hanging' netbsd. Basically,
the machine sits there, it can be pinged, it's unusable. However, after hitting
the reset key, the ethernet card is no longer detected and hence it isn't on the network
anymore. This does *not* happen with a shutdown -r or a reboot .. its fine then..

I've got to boot from a dos floppy (ugh) .. use Diagnose and change the IRQ and address
back and then reboot into netbsd .. This happens about thrice a week as my netbsd box hasn't
managed to stay alive for more than 2 days.

The hardware is a Western Digital 10BaseT elite 16 plus and its being used in a 486/66
in a 16 bit slot. I'd changed it to IRQ 2 and I/O Address 280 but it keeps resetting it
to IRQ 3 and I/O Address 240 ..

sigh.. any answers would be nice.. email please.. i'll summarise
