Before doing the makes, do a rm -rf /usr/share/syscons.* mkdir /usr/share/syscons mkdir /usr/share/sycons/fonts mkdir /usr/share/syscons/keymaps If you don't the make install in /usr/src/share/syscons will blow up and die.
