Be patient.  The first release of GNU FORTRAN is due to be out soon.  If you
would like more info on GNU FORTRAN, try (from a mail message I got):

I do not know about support for VMS FORTRAN extensions.  At this stage in
the development I doubt it ... but one never knows with GNU.
