But that `marginal port' currently fails totally with lpt and lpa.
The only driver that appears to run at least from time to time is
my ancient own lp. But i didn't change the hardware, only the software
(to pk 0.2.4). And the port even ran under msdog interrupt-driven.

Thanks to ALM for the lpa hack, i'll try it.
