Yes, that appears to work -- I have a NetBSD 0.9 system running
XFree86 with an xconsole session pretty much constantly, and I've yet
to see the hangs that others describe.  Unfortunately, xconsole
doesn't seem to get any of the console output, but i suppose we can
fix one bug at a time...
