Set_tmp_dir and extract() were shell functions, that were defined
in the original /.profile.  You will need to reget them.  You might
be able to mount the boot floppy and see if it's on there.

I thought that the install procedure renamed the /.profile you need to
/.profile.install, but I could be misremembering.

In anycase, just extract it from the floppies.
