I  don't remember to have seen any bug reports on this issue,
but after I have applied the p.k 2.4 and the >1-MB patches
my SCSI disk timeouts while waiting for the wd device.

The IDE disk light stayes on, but the kernel stays idle.
I think that the kernel misses the wd interrupt and 
gets stuck waiting for interrupt to occur. I don't 
have any problems  with the p.k 2.3 kernel.
