We tried to find a difference in speed on a 486DX2 66 with a Local Bus IDE
controller and a AT-Bus IDE controller under Nextstep 486 and NetBsd.
The hard drive we were using was a 512MB Conner drive.
The benchmarks we got were just the same (something about 980 kb/sec).

So is there really an advantage in using a Local Bus IDE controller?
