I have used Pete Chown's shared libs (based on Joerg Lohse's) -
everything works fine, and as I write I am busy installing shared
libs on my FreeBSD system (the old 386bsd shared libs work on
FreeBSD, only all of the programs which use the password db are
now hosed).

You can get the shared libs kit that I put together (based on
386bsd0.1+pk0.2.4) on braae.ru.ac.za:/pub/386bsd/X-shlibs -
please read the README and ERRATA files.

If there is interest, I will make the FreeBSD port of Pete
Chown's shlibs kit available for ftp.

Geoff.
