Can anyone help me get a telebit worldblazer talking to netbsd (0.8) and
taylor uucp (please :-)? (Yes, I've already checked the FAQs.)

What I've done -
/etc/gettytab is unchanged.
/etc/ttys changed to read 'com0 "/usr/libexec/getty D19200" dialup on'.
Taylor uucp is compiled and all the config files have been set up.
Serial card has 16550 uart.

What happens -
Every time I just try to test things by doing cu and 'at&v' to dump the
register settings, it goes into a wild loop, scrolling the screen and
displaying the registers as well as garbage, asking for a login and (many
times) eventually hanging. Obviously dialing out is hopeless (doing cu
doesn't even take the modem 'off hook')!

What have I missed? Suggestions, solutions?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Andy

BTW every time I reboot, do a 'kill -1 1' or various other things, the
ownership of /dev/com* is changed to root. Why? How do I prevent it?
