slip

slattach -s 19200 /dev/com0
ifconfig sl0 inet slip-address slip-address

ping slip-address

Make sure that your netmask matches your remote system.
Also, make sure that you have XON/XOFF flow control in
your modem turned OFF.

The NetBSD-0.8 slattach supports hardware flow control and
cslip, ip header compression:
slattach -h -c
-h hardware flow control
-c enable VJ IP header compression

	Good luck,
