I am trying to format a few floppies for use with 386BSD and
keep running into problems. I don't have a program called "format"
like it mentions in the intro for man section 8. Disklabel gives
the following error when I try to write a label to the disk (it has
been formatted with MS-DOS in the past):

disklabel: ioctl DIOCWDINFO: Device not configured

Newfs will make it so I can write data on the disk, but I am kind of
wary about doing that. In its docs it says you should disklabel it first.
Anyway, my /etc/disktab contains:

floppy|floppy3|3in|3.5in High Density Floppy:\
        :ty=floppy:se#512:nt#2:rm#300:ns#18:nc#80:\
        :pa#2880:oa#0:ba#4096:fa#512:\
        :pb#2880:ob#0:\
        :pc#2880:oc#0:

Fsck gives me a funny look if I try to check /dev/fd0a, but it works
fine on a newfs'd disk when I check /dev/rfd0a.

     Any help is greatly appreciated!
