Don't be so hard on yourself, you're not stupid, merely ignorant,
which is the whole point of these groups. I didn't know anything about
systems administration until I asked a few hundred questions, and I
still ask them, just ask Nate...(hehehe)
Anyway, I have heard the recommendation that your swap size be about
twice the size of your RAM. Mine is currently 16 meg, cause I hope to
have 8 meg of RAM one day when I can afford it... (I hate being poor!)
BTW, I know all about running on too small a disk, I started on an 85
meg. I am up to 330 now, and that's a little small. Get as much disk
as you can afford, don't skimp!
