I have 386bsd-0.1 with patch 0.2.1 (?!!. havent been using it for more than 3
months. was going to install 0.2.3 or 0.2.4 soon) running on a 386 box with
2 IDE HD's amd 4Meg RAM. It was shutdown abnormally twice (at different
times) ands survived but the third time (i didn't do it :-() it came with
this message

pc0..
com1..
com2..
wd0..
wd1..
fd0..
(all ok till now)
panic: init died

The operating system is saving a copy of RAM memory to device 1, offset 0
[hit any key to abort] : [amount left to save (MB)] 4 3 2 1 ....

and then goes back to the pboot screen (boot manager).

I have old TinyBSD and fixit floppies (0.2.1, of course) with which I can
boot but am unable to mount (well, at least access) the wd0a ( bad file
descriptor)

disk 1: WD 120 MB 0-365Cyl for dos and rest 366-870 for bsd
    	    	    	(a, b, c)
disk 2: WD 340MB 0-1008 for bsd (a, b, c, h, g).

any advice or help ?
