Here's a question for all you guru's out there. :-)

Here's the setup:

Machine 1 - Running ISC unix version 3.2 - name cg57
Machine 2 - 386bsd (latest patchlevel) - name ssespool

Machines cg57 and ssespool are connected together via ethernet (WD8003
boards).

Machine ssespool also has a slip interface active to machine name crash.

The addresses for each interface/box are as follows:
cg57 - 198.180.239.2
ssespool - 198.180.239.4 (Ethernet)
           192.188.72.55 (SL/IP)

Now, I can establish the SL/IP connection to crash (192.188.72.17) from the
386bsd box and ping/telnet/ftp to my hearts content. No problems.

Where the fun starts is if I try to ping/ftp/telnet from cg57 (the ISC box)
through ssespool (the bsd box) to crash.

cg57 netstat -rn shows

Routing tables
Destination Gateway Flags Refcnt Use Interface
127.0.0.1 127.0.0.1 UH 0 199 lo0
default 198.180.239.4 U 0 1453 wd0
198.180.239 198.180.239.2 U 10 6429 wd0

The default address points to ssespool via the ethernet, the 386bsd
netstat -rn shows:

Routing tables

(root node)

What happens is..... nothing!

Ping/telnet/ftp from cg57, through ssespool to crash results in no results
what-so-ever.

Did I miss something somewhere in the configuration?

What do I need to check to make this work???

Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.
