You know that isn't half bad advice for lots of people (HINT!!!).  While
I am certainly willing to do that, I am really at a loss for the 'why'
of a lot of the stuff that happens in the FAQ.  Most of the stuff that I
put in there is space filler until a good answer comes along (e.g. the
compleat idiot's guide to disk partitioning).  I wrote a bit that was
OK, but left out a lot of important details.  The new bit is better.

It is YOUR FAQ.  I just coordinate/maintain it.  If I could write code,
I'd be writing my own QIC-News...

BTW, the guaranteed most up-to-date FAQ is available by anonymous FTP
from hrd769.brooks.af.mi:~/pub/FAQ.  It appears that the Stupid MilNet
Name Server problem has once again prevented us from being available by
FTPMail.  E-Mail me and I will forward it by hand.
