: I'm having problems with this myself. I don't have a courier modem but tried
: it with an external 2400 baud modem. I think the problems I was having were
: due to the fact that I was using a 25 pin to 9 pin modem cable. I used to use
: the modem on my bbs with a 25 pin to 25 pin modem cable that gave me no

: Well now I have a 14.4k internal modem that I haven't gotten to work yet. I
: still haven't gotten it configured quite right for the comm port and irq
: setting. I have an ide card that has two comm ports on it and since I bought
: it a long time ago I lost the handy dandy guide two page guide that explained
: the jumpers on it. Now it's down to trial and error to at least disable one
: of the ports so my internal modem will work.

I fixed it. It works now.
