Well, XS3 supports the f1280 as well as several other S3 based cards.
We are about one order of magnitude faster than et4000 based cards.
For right now, there is nothing faster than XS3 available in the
public domain.

The f1280 is an S3 911 or S3 801 based card.
The fastest S3 based card goes to #9 gxe VLB at more than 115k xstones
in a fast 486DX266.

#9 numbers is 1-800-GET-NINE.
XS3 is available at sunvis.rtpnc.epa:/pub/386bsd/incoming

If you have any further questions just e-mail me, I am the principal
developer for XS3 under 386bsd -- many have contributed to XS3 ...

And, I am currently using XS3 with ctwm :-)
