I have a weird mail problem I would much appreciate some advice on.

I am running Netbsd 0.8, connected to the Internet. When I receive
mail the console repeatedly comes up with:

date time host.name mail.local: localhost: undefined error: 0

where date is current date, time is current time, and host name is my
host. I also get this message recorded in the maillog file.

Anyway, I was originally having trouble with getting Pine for NetBSD to
send mail to other users on the local machine with the full domain name
tacked onto the user name -- which is what pine does. So I looked on
my Ultrix system and decided to try adding the DA$w macro to sendmail.cf.
This seemed to fix the problem of being able to send mail locally with
full domain attached. However, perhaps this is causing the other probem?
I don't know.

Some mail guru. Please help.

I do seem to be sending and receiving mail fine, though I am concerned
with this error message. I get this error even when no one is on the
system -- as mail is coming in from lists which causes the error message
to come up.

Appreciate any help.

Have a nice day.
