	You are right about the robustness of course. I unfortunately
	do not have enough docs on the AST/4 to invent(?)
	something fool proof. 

	I personally prefer a device to be found when I am _sure_
	I have it at a certain address / intr. Obnoxious drivers
	that ignore my board are worse IMHO.
