I have been on vacation for 4 1/2 months (sorely needed too I might add :-)
and will be home in about a week (after SIGGRAPH). I have been following the
saga of 386bsd closely since it's inception, but have not read news
for 4 motnhs, so I was wondering if some knowledgeable soul could answer
a few simple questions about the recent developments that have occurred since
I have been away.
1. What is the latest _official_ version of 386bsd?
2. Where can I get the latest version from in Australia (near Melbourne)?
3. What's the X server like for 386bsd? I have an Actix GE 32 plus, which
I believe should work well?
4. Has any work been done on the Standard C Library (ie:, the BSD one)?
5. I just got a new 14400 baud modem. How well does X runs over SLIP with
386bsd?
6. I also have a Colorado Memory Systems Jumbo 250 tape drive (QIC80 format).
Does this work with 386bsd? If not, what would I have to do to get it to
work?
7. What is NetBSD 0.8?
8. When will the all singing all dancing version 1.0 be out?
Well, I guess that is about it. Please email responses, since most people
will already know this stuff.
