Yes, most UNIXs will support 2 "IBM" style mfm/rll/ide controllers
(Plus of course at least 1 additional SCSI controller). I am
running 4 IDE drives plus 4 scsi drives on chinet under DELL
unix. There is a from-day-1-AT-spec secondary controller i/o
and int address. Don't remember the secondary i/o address but
the INT is 15. Most old style ESDI/RLL controllers come with
jumper positions for using it as a secondary controller, used
a lot on XENIX/SCO UNIX in the old days. Problem with IDE controllers
is that they generaly do NOT come with jumpers. Meant to be used
in pc's running dos only. However, there are a few controllers
that have that capability. I am running a single card, dual IDE
controller. Has 2 complete IDE controllers on board (2 floppy
connectors and 2 hd connectors) Comes stock jumpered for the
dual i/o-int specs. It also comes with DOS drivers for
supporting the second pair. Works as is under DELL, SCO, Novell.
Costs about $60. I have seen others advertised in Computer
	Shopper.
