I've installed a Archive Python tape drive (4mm DAT) on my '486
running 386BSD/PK2.4 and it works just fine. I can transfer tar
file between it and the Silicon Graphics machines we have here.

My question is: what are the differences between the various
devices?
/dev/st0 (5,0) /* the one I've been using */
/dev/rst0 (14,0) /* the raw interface */
/dev/nst0 (5,1)
/dev/nrst0 (14,1) /* no rewind on close ??? */
/dev/est0 (5,2)
/dev/erst0 (14,2)
/dev/enst0 (5,3)
/dev/enrst0 (14,3)
