Subject: Problem with pk 0.2.4 with a "mono VGA" monitor

I just got upgraded to pk 0.2.4 (had to get floppies... couldn't get a
sustained download of all those files), and I've found a problem somwhere
in the console handling. This happens with either pccons or codrv: after
the first time I run VI, all enhanced attributes (ESC [ 4 m, for example)
come out as solid white blocks. It looks like the display is getting reset
to color instead of mono.

Any ideas?
