I'm currently using gcc 2.4.5 (and, in particular, getting into a little
C++ programming). Unfortunately, the version of gdb included with NetBSD
doesn't like the symbols generated by g++ 2.4.5. Fair enough -- I need
a more recent version. The most recent version (4.9 I think) is very large
(well, its source distribution is), and I really only need the binary. I'd
have to delete the sources after compilation anyway, to free up the space!
I was hoping someone might have a suitable binary somewhere up for ftp.
If you know of one, or could provide one, please let me know. Of course,
under the GPL you'd have to be prepared to provide me with the source on
request -- but I promise never to ask :-)

Mark.
