Caring and being able to reproduce/find the problem are two different
things. I generally install over the network and have no problem. I've
used 386SXs and 486DXs with IDE and MFM (after modifying the driver) with
WD8003s and NE2000 clones. With no problems (aside from wd not being able
to handle coming across a bad block that's not in the bad table...).
