Yes, Postgres version 4.01 (!) (the newest version currently is 4.1) has been
ported by Igor Bartchenkov (garry@maak.msk.su). George B. Kouznetsov sent the
patches to me some time ago.
I uploaded the following files to agate.berkeley.edu into the /pub/incoming
directory:
README.postgres-4.01-386BSD
postgres-4.01-386BSD.patch.gz
postgres-4.01-gcc2.patch.gz

If you have problems to get them, drop me a mail and I will see, what I can do 
for you.
