To build the X server requires the device dependent driver for
the video card/monitor - this is available in sample code forthe 
7xx series but I have not been able to find it for the 3xx
series (with monochrome 1024x768 or the 6plane 98549A card).

We have a collection of 8Meg 340 diskless which can just about
run hpux plus the Xserver - but not much more. However they might
run better with a slimmed down OS and X server (overhead of
restarting the X server is important in heavy use student environment -
also, it is very nice to have XIDLE extension )

Is anyone running X on hp 300 with BSD ? how ?
