I have this old MFM drive. I ran it as RLL, and it worked fine, other than
the bad sectors...

When switching to MFM, I find I cannot boot. With an old MFM controller, I
get a kernel trap 18 during boot. With a newer one, I get a hung machine,
again during kernel boot. I can use this drive perfectly under DOS...

I believe the card might be timing out, and have stuck a few debugging
statements in the wd driver to see what gives. It waits a long time on the
wdctlr() [I believe] commands, and the initial open seems to fail...

Suggestions?
