Absolutely. I couldn't agree more.  Which is why rewrite attempts are on,
and the only people who don't believe this are USL!:-)

What about Mach from CMU?  If you want (i) BSD (ii) 386 (iii)
multiprocessor, I can't think of a better solution than Mach.  You already
have Mach 2.5 and Mach 3.0, both of which support BSD4.3 completely.
