	Some time ago, I posted regarding some problems that I had with 386bsd
with the amount of free memory dissappearing and the system hanging. This
was caused by indiscriminately linking with GNU malloc, which exposed bugs in
various programs, notably /bin/sh. As you cn imagine, execing things would
sometimes not work. Only link memory hungry things (like cc1, cc1plus &
XF86_SVGA) with gnu malloc, and all will be OK
