I'm asking this for a friend who is reporting that his VL IDE 486/50
(brand Gateway 2500 (?) number off memory) does not boot. He is installing
386BSD for the first time. I promised him to collect some comments if anyone
here on the net has had similar problems with machines from this brand.

I remember Gateway machines being mentioned here but I don't remember whether
in positive or negative context.

Thanks in advance for any comments.
