Um... I'm going to give this 386bsd stuff a shot. I'm going to flog off
my Compaq 386/20e & SCO V.3.2.2... :-)

However what hardware to use. Build my own box?

How about the following:

AMI - Enterprise III - ie DX2-66, EISA & VESA
AMI - FASTDISK SCSI EISA CACHING CONTROLLER - claims "Adaptec 154x
      and Buslogic compatible"
A tower case & 200/300 Watt Power supply.
A DEC SCSI-2 Disk Drive
A VESA graphics card - some that will give good X11R5 performance -
Is S3 where it's at or Weitek 9000 or what? - Suggestions please!

An answer brought by the letters S & X & # 3 is welcome. ;-)

Does this sound *real*. I've seen various posts about problems with
the Adaptec SCSI controllers. Anybody know anything about the AMI kit?
Are EISA boards supported as a rule - Video, Network, SCSI, Multiport...

TIA
