I have an NE1000 clone, when I ifconfig I keep getting something
like

startartstartartstartartstartartstartartstartartstartartstartartstartart
startartstartartstartartstartartstartartstartartstartartstartartstartart
startartstartartstartartstartartstartartstartartstartartstartartstartart
startartstartartstartartstartartstartartstartartstartartstartartstartart

any ideas? It was working fine on a SLIP line.
