My vendor and I managed to get my external toshiba 1.2gb working only
with the drive unterminated and the adaptec temrminated all other
settings failed.

According to a previous posting, Adaptec claims that the external
cable must be SCSI-2 compliant to avoid termination problems. I have
not tried this out had enough headaches with the initial installation
that I am thrill to leave alone and working :-)

Also, some of the adaptec's setting may upset booting your
system when I get home tonite I will post my settings.

Enjoy,
Amancio
