I've recently acquired an un-named clone S3 video card, bearing only
the model number VI-900. It sports an 86C911 video device and 1Mb of VRAM
The clock generator IC appears to be an ICS-2494M chip, being run from a
14.31818 Mhz crystal.

Thus far, I've had little success using the card with XS3 on my 386bsd
0.1 system. Although I don't currently have the XS3 source on-line, I
suspect that the clock chip differs from the usual, and that this is
causing my problems.

Before I start diving into the video BIOS armed only with a
disassembler, can anyone confirm or deny my suspicions?

Thanks in advance
phil
