Hmm, I've just installed 0.8 on a system with a mono monitor and MDA. I never
run X yet there's no wait after the halt for me either.

A couple of other items:

On a MDA, the kernel startup messages come up with all underlines... this is
kind of annoying.

I'm running a mixed IDE and SCSI system. So far, I've been unable to
disklabel the SCSI drive. I get some message about the bootstrap not
leaving room for the disklabel. I've never seen this one -- was it in
386bsd?

I'd like to contribute changes, but I'm not really sure how to work this.
I've picked up a lot of tar updates from NetBSD-current from sun-lamp,
but I feel I'd be producing diffs against a moving target. Should I say:
"here are diffs against the netbsd snapshot on <date>"? How are such
changes going to be useful?
