in some cases this could be true.

however, it also could be that he's using the latest kernels
from the kernel copy disks, in which case there's a little bug
that causes it to not actually *halt* when halting, but to actually
reboot.

i'll make up a new set of kernel floppies "when i can find the time"
which hopefully will be soon...
