The same problem occurred on my NetBSD system with a
maxtor ESDI drive. I can newfs the BSD partitions but
with the error message "can't rewrite disklabel".
The created fs checks allright and can be mounted.
After a reboot however the BSD disklabel is corrupted
and the partitions cannot be found.

Any idea's how to correct this?
