Speaking as the person who started the 386bsd_msdos@ref mailing list,
I think it would be worthwhile to recreate that list. Unfortunatly
I do not know what the list looked like at the time ref went away.
If enough people are interested, I will create a 386bsd_msdos@mke.ab.com
alias and add people as requested. Does anyone have copies of ref's
alias lists? Is anyone running a list server for 386bsd workgroups?

There has been some talk of porting the linux DOS emulator instead of the
Mach version. I have some old posts from the linux group about just that
possibility. In one message, Linus himself talks about the linux kernel
and what might be involved in porting the msdos emulator. I will see if
I can dig those up.
