DOS and 386bsd coexists fine. I think OS/2 isn't different
to DOS  concerning this case.

386bsd's install program detects free space on your hard disk
and asks you, how much you want for bsd.

Then a dos compatible partition entry will be made.
But this default installation provides only 5 Mb swap,
which is certainly to less if you want to run X11 or so.

NetBSD's install program isn't compatible with the dos format
of the partition table. It overrides it. Installing NetBSD
first and then dos isn't possible. After that the DOS 5.0
fdisk finds bo free disk space for a DOS Partition, although
there is ;-(

Perhaps it's a special gag when having scsi drives/controller ?
But I think it's not.
